Lake Thurmond, formerly known as Clarks Hill Lake, encompasses more than 71,000 acres and 1,200 miles of shoreline bordering Georgia and South Carolina. The lake is primarily fed by the Savannah River and is the largest reservoir in the southeast. And for years, it’s been one of Georgia’s premier vacation destinations.
